Scheduled from February 5 to 14, 2024, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, the CSocD62 will tackle pressing issues central to global social welfare and progress. The session will be streamed live, allowing worldwide audiences to engage with the discussions.

At the forefront of discussions will be the priority theme of "Fostering social development and social justice through social policies to accelerate progress on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and to achieve the overarching goal of poverty eradication." This theme underscores the imperative of addressing social inequalities and promoting policies that uplift marginalized communities, aligning with the UN's ambitious sustainable development goals.

In addition to the priority theme, the CSocD62 will delve into the emerging issue of "The Influence of Digital Transformation on Inclusive Growth and Development: A Path to Realizing Social Justice." Recognizing the transformative impact of digital technologies on society, this discussion will explore ways to harness digital advancements to promote inclusivity and equitable development.

Moreover, the Commission will commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of the International Year of the Family, highlighting the importance of family cohesion and support systems in fostering social well-being and cohesion.

The CSocD62 will also conduct a review of relevant UN plans and programmes of action pertaining to the situation of social groups. This includes examining outcomes from high-level meetings addressing disability-inclusive development, youth empowerment, aging populations, and family policies and programmes.

The CSocD62 presents a crucial opportunity for global stakeholders to come together, share insights, and chart a course towards a more just, inclusive, and sustainable future for all.
